Whose Side Are The Angels On?
There are many times in a person’s life when they feel that they are at war with
someone else. As children we often fight with our siblings. In high school, groups
will sometimes end up at war with each other. As couples divorcing, we sometimes
feel at war with our soon to be ex-
Even amongst the gentle and good souls who would never consider harming another person in word nor in deed, there are wars. The environmentalists fight desperately to save the planet while others fight desperately for whatever goods or services they feel serves humanity in some way. People who would normally be kind and loving are fighting over which religion is superior to the others. People who are otherwise amazing and beautiful souls will draw the line at color and will treat those who are of another skin color as if they are garbage not worthy of even sharing the same neighborhood. Quite often these people will feel that because they are normally so peaceful and gentle, they must be right and the angels must certainly agree with them. After all, they are good people and angels do love and support good people.
It is the nature of mankind to pray to his god before heading into battle. Every religion claims that their god is an almighty powerful god who is the greatest of all warriors. We pray for strength to endure the war. We pray for wisdom to make the right choices so that we will win or at least make it out alive. We pray for the heavens to help us to crush the bad guys. We pray for an invincible bubble of safety and protection around ourselves and those we love. We pray that we are able to stop the madness. We pray that we can rescue the victims. We pray that when all is said and done we might be viewed as heroes who won against the evil enemy. With both sides calling on their angels for such protection and support, who wins?
Is there favoritism among the angels? Do they prefer one group over another? Do
the angels think one race, one gender, one political party, one religion, one nation,
or one person is more important, more special, or more holy than the others? Of
course not. We are placed here each of us into our lives within our local communities
that shape us and form us into whatever we become. We are expected to take whatever
cultural teachings are given to us and to find a way to emulate and bring to earth
that which is heavenly. Angels cannot cheer wars because they are here to help us
find our own personal roadmap back to heavenly behavior. How can we become more
Christ-
Am I telling you to never stand up and fight for what you believe in? No, I am not.
I am saying that your personal conduct is between you and your guardian angel. Ultimately,
how you conduct yourself during this lifetime is a reflection of how close you came
to finding heaven within yourself. Honor, compassion, integrity, forgiveness, and
love are words that we throw around a lot but they are actually some of the most
difficult things to learn on a deep spiritual level. As you go through your trials
and tribulations, are you behaving like the founder of your religion or are you behaving
like the clergy and world leaders who interpret the founder’s messages? How close
can you get to becoming like those who were sent to show us the way? Gandhi, Jesus,
Buddha, Lao Tzu, Mother Theresa, Dali Lhama, Mary, Moses, Martin Luther King Jr.,
and the others all have a similar approach to battle. They never stopped being angel-
The angels and their messengers do not teach us to become arrogant, bigoted, greedy, ignorant, nor violent. Those are normal human choices, but it is not the goal of the angels to lead us in that direction. Throughout our lives, when battles present themselves, we must not lose sight of the real goal set before us. We are supposed to manifest heaven right here on earth. Heaven is not a bloody battlefield. It is not a large bank account with a gas guzzling SUV. It is not an Aryan Nation. It is not a place for hatred, prejudices, disgust, or ridiculing those who are different from us. Heaven is a feeling, an attitude, and a way of life that honors all of Creation’s beautiful children.
Angels are on the side of love and harmony. It’s a good thing they are here, because we still have a long way to go.
