Synopsis:

 

At first glance, your finances are keeping you from having a good time.  However, you end up with quite a bit of positive energy between your work and wealth sectors and also quite a bit of positive energy coming from your intelligence, bartering, and negotiations sector.  This is a great month for working on financial, professional, and fitness oriented goals.  Your self-confidence is going to get a boost from all of your hard work and creative problem solving too.

Old News

 

(Returning from the past)  From October 5th 2008 through March 12th 2009, Saturn and Uranus are in a major opposition.  They will take a break from this battle for a few months and then oppose each other again from August 22nd 2009 through October 9th 2009.  Globally, this is very similar to an opposition between these two planets back in 1965 and 1966.  Back in the mid-60’s, Saturn represented the older generation, conservative views, government, rules, regulations, chastity, prudence, and doing the right thing (like joining the military and supporting the Vietnam War as a sensible patriot).  Pluto was helping Uranus and together they represented the youthful rebellion of the time, “Age of Aquarius”, brotherhood, anarchy, individualistic personalities, independence, sexual freedom, chaos, and anti-war/anti-military sentiment.  It has taken a little over forty years, but these two planets have now traded places.  This is part of why we have a similar situation politically and culturally to what we had back then.  It is also why the concepts of a new generation wanting to take power from an older generation is also coming into play.  Culturally and politically, we will see this battle playing out.  Saturn is in Virgo representing banking systems, governments, and professional business protocol.  Uranus is in Pisces representing chaos, upheaval, and self-destruction.  Uranus also represents teamwork, social networking, and group dynamics, so we will see the Internet, “all for one and one for all”, and teamwork as the new solutions to many of our old problems.  This generational change cannot be stopped any more than the political and social changes that took place in the late 60’s could be stopped.  For better or worse, we must re-evaluate our political philosophies and attitudes about brotherhood.  Is the ideal philosophy “every man for himself” or “I am my brother’s keeper”?  The goal is for us to achieve balance, not for a pendulum to swing from one extreme to another.  For Virgo, this dynamic will show up in your romantic, social, and business partnerships.  Saturn is still in your “me” sector.  Uranus is in your marriage, best friend, business partnerships, and competitors (think yin-yang) sector.  You and your “partner” could be arguing.  You feel like your partner is being chaotic and irrational and that you are behaving in a logical and thoughtful manner.  However, your partner thinks you are being a grumpy old fart and that they are being innovative and thinking outside the box.  If it is a competitor that you are going head-to-head with, you could find that they are throwing cheap shots at you and you are the one behaving like an adult in this situation.  This time, it is an easier and shorter version of the battle than what you had to deal with last summer.

 

From September 19th through October 11th, Mercury backtracks and officially rejoins Saturn in his battle with Uranus.  The sun is still there too, so it is a pretty tough battle.  The sun leaves September 20th and Saturn leaves October 9th, so even though it starts out bad, the energy begins easing up.  With Mercury being the last planet to participate in this opposition, he has the responsibility of trying to negotiate peace talks.  It will not be easy, but you might be able to create peace between you and your spouse, best friend, business partner, or a competitor.  (Globally, the economic, political, and social battles that arise when Saturn and Uranus clash will ease up just in time for the holidays!)

 

From September 28th through October 9th, Mars gets in-between Mercury and Uranus’ battle and tries to help smooth things over.  Uranus is still representing your spouse, best friend, business partner or a competitor.  Mercury is still representing you and your interests.  Mars is in your friends, teams, clubs, professional associations, and social networking sector.  A friend is trying to help the two of you find a way to get along.  It could also be a sense of team spirit that helps the two of you find common ground.  Either way, socializing and/or a team spirit helps to create the “kiss and make up” energy that you have been hoping for all along.

New Developments

 

October 3rd hosts a full moon in your trust and sharing, fidelity, loyalty, joint finances, joint ventures, commissions, stock options, investments, and profit sharing sector.  Full moons are for endings, closure, grand finales, and “ta-da!” moments.  This is a good time to end an unhealthy relationship or to finally commit yourself to a relationship after a long courtship stage.  It is also a great time for financial grand finales involving inheritances, lotteries, stocks, investments, commissions, royalties, insurances, loans, profit sharing, and/or your spouse’s income.  Alimony, child support, taxes, and other forms of “financial sharing” are also blessed by this full moon.  There is nothing negatively affecting this full moon, so you should be able to fully enjoy your “ta-da!” moment in your trust and sharing sector.

 

From October 6th through the 13th, the sun and Jupiter work quite nicely together to blend your personal wealth and self-worth sector with your daily work, coworkers, to-do lists, chores, productivity, physical health, and “feeling useful” sector.  This is a good time for working on your professional and financial goals.  It is also an excellent opportunity to work on (doctor approved) fitness goals.  This is the first of a repeating pattern that will take place over the coming weeks.  The sun, Mercury, and Venus will take turns creating this energy and then they will each take turns working with nearby Neptune to create a very similar energy.  By the end of the month, your “wealth and worth” sector and your “work and fitness” sector will have combined energies in a positive way six times.

 

From October 8th through the 12th, Venus takes her turn opposing Uranus.  Once again, a lover, best friend, business partner, or competitor (think yin-yang) is causing problems for you.  The two of you are not seeing eye-to-eye.  Since Venus is involved, it could be finances, fairness, a female, or effeminate male that is adding to the uproar.

 

From October 9th through the 12th, Mercury moves back into the spot he was in a few weeks ago when he battled Pluto in your “happiness” sector.  Once again, financial issues are stopping you from being able to play as much as you might like.  Luxury sales and purchases could be especially hard hit at this time.  You could also find too much or a lack of self-confidence is interfering with your love life or with your ability to go out and try new things that could bring great joy into your life.

 

From October 11th through March 9th, Saturn and Pluto clash.  This is that same battle that the sun and Mercury triggered.  This time, it is bigger, uglier, and far more important.  Financial and/or confidence issues will be affecting your ability to enjoy life over the next few months.  Lovers, children, pets, hobbies, creative projects, luxury items, and/or anything else that brings great joy into your life could all be negatively affected by your self-esteem issues or by your financial challenges.  Saturn will be trying to teach you some life lessons about acquiring wealth, budgeting, accumulating assets, and/or building a strong and fair sense of self-worth.

 

From October 13th through the 17th, Venus joins Saturn in the battle with Pluto.  Venus rules over the personal wealth and self-worth sector that Saturn is about to enter.  Therefore, she adds more financial or confidence related problems to the dynamic.  She also rules over diplomacy, fairness, beauty, and seduction.  These are areas where she can create financial challenges and/or self-confidence issues.  For example, you could feel too frumpy to be able to enjoy dating.  Or you could feel that financial issues are just too overwhelming for you to be able to relax and have fun.  This is not a good time for holiday gift shopping.  You cannot afford to be as generous as you would like to be.

 

From October 13th through the 20th, the sun and Neptune are working quite nicely together.  This is a lovely blending of your “wealth” and “work” sectors.  This is an opportunity to work on financial, professional, self-worth, and fitness goals.

 

October 17th (or 18th depending upon your time zone), you have a new moon in your “wealth and worth” sector that is positively affected by the lovely dynamic involving the sun and Neptune in the previous paragraph.  This is a lovely energy for new financial goals, new assets, and gaining a new sense of self-esteem based on professional, financial, and/or fitness related success.

 

From October 19th through the 22nd, Mercury and Jupiter are blending your personal wealth and self-worth sector with your daily work and fitness sector.  This is another opportunity to work towards achieving your financial, professional, and/or fitness goals.  Jupiter adds good luck and joy to this dynamic.

 

From October 22nd through the 25th, the sun and Pluto are getting along quite nicely.  Pluto is still in your personal pleasure, romance, lovers, children, pets, hobbies, creative talents, luxury, and happiness sector and the sun is moving into your interpersonal communications, commercial activities, and local community sector.  This is a great time for finding ways to let your loved ones know how much they mean to you, for enjoying family and neighborhood get-togethers, and for brainstorming holiday gift-giving ideas.  Saturn and Pluto are still battling so that your financial situation is not exactly what you would like it to be, but there is quite a bit of positive energy flowing into and out of your financial sector, so with this new energy coming from your sales, purchases, commerce, and negotiations sector, you might be able to bargain hunt, barter, and/or set up layaway pay plans that will allow you to splurge on your loved ones, save up for a luxury item, and/or finance any other “happiness” projects that you are working on.  Mercury, Venus, and eventually Mars (when he finally catches up with the others) will all pass through this same spot.  Therefore, this is just the beginning of a lovely repeating energy.

 

From October 22nd through the 26th, Mercury switches from working with Jupiter to working with Neptune.  This is another opportunity to work on financial, professional, and fitness projects.  When Neptune and Mercury blend energies, they create a smart intuitive energy; so do not be surprised if you begin some creative brainstorming that turns out quite nicely.  You could find that spending time on or near the water adds to the inspirational energies brewing at this time.  Creative, artistic, charitable, and/or humanitarian projects are especially blessed.

 

From October 24th through November 4th, the sun and Mars are clashing.  Mars is in your mental health, attitudes, intuition, spiritual mysteries, secrets, bureaucracies, and “hidden forces working behind the scenes” sector.  The sun is in your local community, interpersonal communications, and commercial activities sector.  When these two areas clash, we usually see local gossip, tough bureaucratic negotiations, drunken neighbors, sick relatives, self-destructive clansmen, gullibility, delusions, and/or addictions negatively affecting your local community.  Either you are the one they are all talking about or you are the one they are turning to for solutions.  Either way, you are irritated about the situation.  It will be difficult for you to bite your tongue, so try to choose your words carefully and make sure that you do not say anything that you will deeply regret later.

 

From October 26th through the 31st, Venus takes her turn working with Jupiter to bring more good luck, self-confidence, and/or prosperity through professional, financial, and fitness activities.

 

From October 28th through the 29th, Mercury takes a quick turn working with Pluto to brainstorm creative ideas that help with bartering, layaway plans, and bargain hunting for ways to splurge on your loved ones, buy and sell luxury items, and/or for finding ways to finance your favorite hobbies and pastimes.  Mercury brings intelligence, contract negotiations, writing skills, and enthusiasm to your communications and Pluto brings passion, hidden resources, and profits to your playtime activities.  This is an excellent time for combining those energies and looking at maybe turning a favorite pastime into a lucrative business opportunity.

 

From October 29th through April 8th, Saturn leaves Virgo and your first house to enter Libra and your second house.  He will backtrack and revisit Virgo and your first house from April 8th through July 20th.  After that, he will stay in Libra and your second house for the next couple of years.  For Virgo, hosting Saturn in the second house can be financially problematic.  First, Saturn travels through the twelfth house challenging our mental health, then Saturn goes public by moving into our first house and challenging our personality and how we come across to others, and finally Saturn moves into our second house and challenges our sense of self-worth.  Theoretically, by this time, you are ready to see yourself in a positive light and are tired of being told that you are “doing it wrong” no matter what you do.  So learning to see yourself as something more than just your financial net worth can be a much easier and gentler life lesson.  Unfortunately, messing with your finances is usually Saturn’s favorite way to teach that lesson.  It is not the only way, but it is the most common method used.  By dealing with a lack of money, we learn to value ourselves beyond the material possessions we are capable of purchasing.  By learning how to earn our own way after years of being pampered and/or provided for by someone else can also teach us self-worth.  Sometimes, you have to learn how to budget, how to stretch a dollar, or how to prioritize what is really important during lean times.  These can all feel lousy at the time, but can build your self-confidence and help you to feel that you can overcome tough situations.  Remember Saturn’s goals is to teach you financial responsibility, financial independence, and/or self-worth, so do not allow yourself to be dishonest or unethical while being forced through these challenges.

From November 7th through the 10th, Venus takes her turn working with Pluto to try to mediate solutions to “money versus happiness” problems that Saturn and Pluto are creating.  Venus and Pluto rule over all forms of seduction and money so you could find you are in the mood for romance and profits!  Once again, you could find barter, layaway plans, and bargain hunting helps you find a way to splurge on hobbies, children, pets, lovers, vacations, and luxury items.  Since Venus is involved, you could also find that a female relative is able to help you come up with ideas about how to solve some of the problems you have been facing.

 

From November 7th through the 13th, the sun is in your communications, community, and commerce sector and is clashing with Jupiter in your daily work, to-do lists, chores, coworkers, duties, productivity, physical health, and “feeling useful” sector.  Office gossip, contract negotiations, computer systems, office equipment, telecommunications systems, daily travel to and from work, telephone messages, and other business communications are causing productivity issues, bad attitudes, and/or quality control issues at work.  Until the 9th, Mercury will be adding an argumentative energy to this problem.
