Synopsis:

You and a partner or rival are still not seeing eye-to-eye and your finances or your love life are also suffering. However, you have some wonderful opportunities to socialize, mingle, join teams and clubs, and to spend quality time with loved ones. You just have to get creative and find inexpensive ways to entertain each other and to say, “I love you”. Have fun without destroying your budget.

Old News

From March 25th through September 3rd, Saturn will be traveling backwards through your chart to recreate that big ugly battle with Uranus that we all dealt with in 2008 and 2009. Saturn will be in your second house of personal wealth and self-worth, but will also be reentering Virgo and your first house of “me” during part of this opposition. Uranus is still in your partnerships and rivals (think yin-yang) sector, but will be visiting your trust and sharing, fidelity and profit sharing sector during part of this opposition. Like before, globally we will see the world battling independence versus government, brotherhood versus civic duty, rebellion versus organized systems, chaos versus order. This has been a big part of the economic problems most countries have been facing. Civil rights, global technology, and international brotherhood are all aspects of this debate. In the past, Uranus and Saturn were in zodiac signs that specialize in seeing how old ways no longer serve us. Therefore, the focus globally was on how to tear down old systems. We fought over which systems to tear down, how to tear them down, which should be saved, and who had a better grasp of what was actually wrong with the world. This year, there will still be some of that, but there will also be a chunk of time when these opposing planets will be in zodiac signs that build, create new beginnings, and love fresh starts. Therefore, we will find ourselves arguing over what the new beginning should look like. 2009 was about what to get rid of; 2010 is about what to replace it with. In general, it is an easier battle and a lot less depressing. For you personally, it was and will again be about battles between you and a spouse, best friend, business partner, rival, competitor, or enemy. At times, finances, sexuality, trust, and greed will play a role in the opposition. Keep in mind that the real focus is on building something new, not on trying to salvage the old ways that no longer work. You cannot recapture whatever has been lost, you can only agree to rebuild something new together or you can agree to go your separate ways and you find someone new to rebuild a new partnership with. If it is a competitor or rival that you are battling instead of a beloved partner, then remember that the planets are encouraging the person who can come up with new ideas, new ways of increasing profits, new ways of building trusting relationships, new ways of marketing and networking, etc to “win” this battle. If you are on the side of trying to hold on to the old ways of doing things, you will lose to the innovative competitor. It does not matter if the old ways worked beautifully and it does not matter if you are extremely good at doing things the old way; history is on the side of change, innovation, and moving forward towards a new dawn. You have to adapt and grow or you will be left behind. It might be challenging for you, but remember that Saturn helps you to be careful, smart, and professional in your personal presentation and in your financial choices, so you are not likely to make radical irresponsible choices while moving forward in a brave new direction.

From April 8th through July 20th, Saturn revisits Virgo. As mentioned before, Saturn is tangled up in a battle with Uranus during this time, so his focus will mostly be on the battle between you and a lover, best friend, business partner, competitor, rival, or enemy (think yin-yang).

From May 4th through September 3rd, Jupiter opposes Saturn. Jupiter is sneaking up behind Uranus and the two will soon be in a partnership as they both battle against Saturn. Jupiter expands whatever he touches but he also tries to get people to see things from other people’s points of view. Jupiter rules over global travel, multicultural studies, philosophies, religions, laws, universities, mass media, and “walking a mile in someone else’s shoes”. Globally, we already have been dealing with younger generations wanting to take power from older generations. We have seen battles between fundamentalists and rebels, between government and independence, between old-fashioned rules and futuristic visionaries, between old media (newspapers and television) and new media (the Internet), between stoic go-it-alone philosophies and brotherhood philosophies, etc. Now, with Jupiter helping Uranus, the youthful, rebellious, brotherhood, social networking, and futuristic types are going to feel a huge boost of power in their favor. Remember, this is a yin-yang placement of an almost identical astrological situation back in 1965 and 1966. The Baby Boomers still see themselves as the youthful future-seekers, but a younger generation sees them as the old-fashioned ones dragging their feet and holding up progress. Jupiter encourages a global, multicultural, academic, and judicious approach. For you personally, Jupiter is helping with the partnerships and rivalries side in the battle against Saturn in your “me” sector. Everything inside of you might be telling you to look out for number one, stay self-focused, etc. However, Jupiter is telling you that your good luck, joy, and blessings involve partnerships or being willing to face your enemies head-on.

From May 11th through January 31st 2011, Jupiter and Uranus are traveling partners. As mentioned earlier, they are teamed up together battling Saturn as their partnership begins. They are currently in Pisces and your seventh house of marriage, best friends, business partnerships, competitors, enemies, and rivalries. They are working hard to promote partnerships in general and the idea of not hiding from your enemies. They are trying to bring more brotherhood, genius, teamwork, friendships, and social networking into this area of your life. It is an optimistic, youthful, and sometimes rebellious energy that you and your partner can enjoy.

From May 28th through August 13th, Uranus is in Aries and your eighth house of trust and sharing, intimacy, fidelity, loyalty, joint finances, commissions, tips, loans, stock options, investments, inheritances, taxes, and other forms of profit sharing. Your sex life can become exhilarating and/or chaotic. You could find chaos, sexual problems, changing intimacy needs, and/or fidelity issues (especially with Jupiter also about to visit this sector). You can find that teamwork, friendships, genius, and innovation are a positive addition to your financial life. Commissions, royalties, tips, taxes, stocks, investments, inheritances, child support, and/or your spouse’s income could become unpredictable. This is a preview of what is to come after Uranus moves into this area of your chart full-time next year. You could find Uranus’ genius mixed with Aries’ innovation and entrepreneurial focus proves quite profitable over the next few years.

From June 6th through September 9th, Jupiter visits Aries and your eighth house of trust and sharing, intimacy, fidelity, loyalty, joint finances, joint ventures, investments, stocks, commissions, tips/gratuities, spousal and child support, inheritances, taxes, royalties, and other forms of profit sharing. Jupiter is trying to give you a preview of the wonderfully upbeat, adventurous, and lucky energy that he will bestow upon you next year, but Saturn’s opposition is making it a little difficult for you to take full advantage of this preview visit.

From June 17th through September 9th, Jupiter and Uranus will be angering Pluto. They are already in an opposition with Saturn, now they are also clashing with Pluto. Jupiter and Uranus are still in your trust and sharing, intimacy, fidelity, loyalty, joint finances, joint ventures, investments, and profit sharing sector. Pluto is still in your romance, playtime, children, pets, creativity, luxury, and happiness sector. This is one of those “Clash of the Titans” events. “Youthful rebellion” is butting heads with “trust and hidden truths.” Globally, the desire for transformation and innovation clashes with “there is a right way and a wrong way to manage a revolution.” The hard work and deep thought involved in successfully revolutionizing things is a rude awakening for idealistic groups wanting instant change. “Yes we can” is all about enthusiasm and group cheerleading. However, change does not come quick and it does not come easy. That does not mean it is not coming, it just means that there is some difficult “grown up” stuff that has to be figured out and impatience does not help the cause. For you personally, it is your happiness that is clashing with your trust issues. A lover, pet, or child could be causing some type of trust issue or financial challenge. Most of the time when these two areas clash, we see problems involving infidelity, differing sexual needs, and/or intimacy problems causing lovers to not be able to enjoy their time together. If you work in a happiness industry (luxury sales, vacations, matchmaking, pet care, child care, music, theatre, etc), you could find that profits are down and/or that it is difficult to find paying gigs at this time.

New Developments

From July 1st through 2nd, Mercury and Mars are getting along quite nicely. Mercury is in your friends, teams, clubs, committees, professional associations, Internet, and social networking sector and Mars is still in your “me” sector. Together, they help you to connect well with others, to socialize, and to participate in group activities. You are able to get your point across, people like you, and they appreciate what you have to say. This is an excellent energy for professional and social networking projects and for laughing and hanging out with others. This is also a good time for building websites, joining online chat groups, using email and other forms of online communications to stay in touch with friends, and for Internet marketing.

From July 5th through the 11th, Venus opposes Neptune the way Mars did last month. Venus is in your mental health, intuition, spiritual mysteries, secrets, bureaucracies, and “hidden forces working behind the scenes” sector. Neptune is still in your daily work, coworkers, chores, to-do lists, productivity levels, physical health, and “feeling useful” sector. Once again, you have a tug-of-war between mental health and physical health, logic and intuition, bureaucracy and productivity, spirituality and practicality, etc. This time, the energy is less confrontational and it is a little easier to mediate.

From July 6th through the 15th, the sun steps into the same place that Mercury was just in. Now, it is the sun’s turn to work with Mars to help with your social activities online and in person.

From July 8th through the 10th, Mercury is working to help ease the tensions between you and romantic or financial trust issue. Saturn is in your “me” sector. Jupiter and Uranus are in your trust and sharing (fidelity and profit sharing) sector opposing Saturn and creating an issue involving intimacy, cheating, unmet sexual needs, etc. Or your challenge could involve investments, taxes, commissions, bonuses, child support, alimony, loans, tips/gratuities, inheritances, or some other form of profit sharing. Mercury is in a position to mediate and to help offer solutions from within your social networking sector. A friend, teammate, colleague, fellow committee member, associate, etc could help you brainstorm solutions to your financial challenges. Or they could help you work through your romantic trust issues. You could also find that the Internet is a valuable resource full of information that could help you educate yourself so that you can solve the problem without involving your social contacts.

From July 10th through the 16th, Venus and Pluto are working very nicely together. Venus has moved into your “me” sector. Pluto is still in your personal pleasure, romance, lovers, playtime, hobbies, children, pets, creative talents, luxuries, and happiness sector. These are the two planets in charge of seduction and finances. Together, they encourage you to fall in love, dance, sing, play, and have some fun! If you work in a “happiness” industry (music, theater, vacations, luxury sales, fine dining, etc), you could find that profits are up and that you are a very persuasive salesperson at this time. This is also a good time to seduce your sweetheart and to enjoy spending time together.

July 11th hosts a new moon eclipse in your friends, teams, clubs, committees, professional associations, Internet, and social networking sector. This is an excellent time for joining clubs, teams, committees, associations, etc. It is also a good time to launch websites, create online profiles, start using a new web hosting company or Internet server, etc. And it is a lovely time for meeting new friends. The sun and Mars are still blending your social networking sector and your “me” sector, so your social skills are still top notch. Since this is an eclipse, you could find that the new beginning or fresh start you create in this area of your life could have wonderful long-term consequences. Sometimes with eclipses, it is not immediately obvious that this is a profound life changing moment. However, looking back at a later time, you can see that this was when things began to change.

From July 19th through the 29th, the sun in your social networking sector is working quite nicely with Jupiter and Uranus in your trust and sharing sector. This is a great time for meeting romantic partners through your social contacts. If you are in the market for a new lover, ask your friends and colleagues to introduce you to interesting new people. It is also a great time for financial activities involving committees, teams, clubs, associations, and the Internet. The second half of this dynamic will shift towards emotional and psychological healing of your trust issues and/or towards profits through interactions with bureaucratic organizations.

From July 21st through the 24th, the sun is also working with Saturn who is slipping back into Libra and your second house of personal wealth, salaries, wages, assets, bank accounts, and self-worth. Jupiter and Uranus are still opposing Saturn. They create a tug-of-war involving “mine” versus “ours”, salaries versus commissions, self-respect versus infidelity/trust issues, personal security versus sharing with others, etc. The sun is moving into your mental health, spiritual mysteries, and bureaucracies sector. From this new location, the sun can help you to pray, meditate, reflect, visualize, etc about how to resolve these financial or trust issues that you are dealing with. Taking on a more spiritual and charitable outlook could help you to figure out what you need to do. Since bureaucracies are also included in the area where the sun is, you could find that corporations, government agencies, hospitals, prisons, institutions, charities, and other bureaucracies can somehow help you with your issues. Maybe you need to find work in one of these bureaucracies, or maybe you can receive financial help from one of them (welfare programs, large churches, corporate banks, the Red Cross, veterans aid organizations, homeless shelters, etc.). Some of these types of organizations could offer counseling or therapy to help you with emotional or psychological issues that might be holding you back from your romantic and financial goals.

From July 24th through the 28th, Mercury and Neptune are creating another opposition in your life. Mercury is in your mental health, intuition, spiritual mysteries, secrets, bureaucracies, and “hidden forces working behind the scenes” sector where Venus and Mars used to be. Neptune is still in your daily work, coworkers, chores, to-do lists, productivity levels, physical health, and “feeling useful” sector. Once again, you are dealing with mental health versus physical health, intuition versus logic, bureaucracy versus productivity, spirituality versus practicality, etc.

July 25th hosts a full moon in your daily work, coworkers, chores, to-do lists, productivity levels, physical health, and “feeling useful” sector. Full moons are for endings, closure, grand finales, and “ta-da!” moments. This is an excellent time for you to finish working on big projects (both in your professional and private life). You can accomplish quite a bit at this time. This is also a good time to complete a (doctor approved) fitness goal, to quit a job, finally land a job, fire an employee, say goodbye to a beloved coworker, etc. There is nothing negatively affecting this full moon so it should be a great time for you. Jupiter and Uranus are sending positive energy from within your profit sharing sector. Therefore, you and your coworkers could enjoy financial benefits (commissions, bonuses, etc) while completing major projects and meeting deadlines.

From July 26th through September 14th, Saturn battles Pluto. Jupiter and Uranus are already thumbing their noses at Pluto and they are still opposing Saturn. The opposition between “mine” and “ours”, between salaries and commissions, between self-respect and infidelity/trust issues gets even uglier for a while, because of Pluto’s involvement. You were already dealing with romantic or financial trust issues involving your lover, children, or pets. Or your partner’s finances could be making it hard for the two of you to spend playtime together (maybe your sweetheart has to work too much and cannot join you on a vacation or for a fun outing). Or you could be dealing with low or sporadic profits from careers involving music, theater, luxury sales, matchmaking, childcare, sports, hobbies, and other “happiness” industries. Now with Saturn also challenging Pluto, your personal finances are clashing with your lovers, children, pets, hobbies, creative pastimes, luxuries, happiness, etc. Your financial situation and your playtime activities are not in alignment. You will have to find inexpensive ways to vacation, to show loved ones that you care, and to entertain yourself. I am not saying you cannot have a good time; you just cannot spend a lot of money on it. Or maybe you and your spouse both take a big hit financially by taking so much time off from work for your big vacation. Or your children/pets are costing a huge amount of money this summer (like for camp and play dates). To make matters even worse, Mars is teaming up with Saturn until August 8th and will be adding an extra dose of anger, aggression, and/or agitation to your role in this drama. Be very careful not to say or do anything you will regret later.

From July 27th through August 1st, Mercury and Pluto are getting along wonderfully. Mercury is entering your “me” sector. Pluto is still in your happiness sector. Pluto likes to dig up hidden truths, trust issues, and hidden resources. Mercury likes to share information, analyze, and negotiate. Together, these two can help you create fun, sexy, interesting, and/or creative play dates and activities to keep you and your loved ones entertained. Maybe do some online coupon hunting, check your local library or civic center for schedules of free family events scheduled over the summer, and rediscover inexpensive classics like Family Game Night.
