Synopsis:

 

Your career, happiness, emotional well-being, and/or social life are still in a big uproar, but your “playtime” sector and your “local community” sector are both buzzing with positive energy.  Work might be driving you crazy, but you have plenty of opportunities to attend local gatherings, to spend time with loved ones, and you have some wonderful negotiation skills in your arsenal of tools available this month.  Even if you are struggling, you are able to explain yourself in a way that has everyone seeing you as a leader and as a real problem solver.

From March 25th through September 3rd, Saturn will be traveling backwards through your chart to recreate that big ugly battle with Uranus that we all dealt with in 2008 and 2009.  Saturn is in your sixth house of daily work, coworkers, to-do lists, chores, productivity, physical health, and “feeling useful”.  He is about to reenter your fifth house of personal pleasure, romance, lovers, playtime, pets, children, creative talents, hobbies, luxuries, and “happiness” for a portion of this battle.  Uranus is still in your social networking sector, but will be visiting your mental health, intuition, spiritual mysteries, bureaucracy, and “hidden forces working behind the scenes” sector during part of this opposition.  Like before, globally we will see the world battling independence versus government, brotherhood versus civic duty, rebellion versus organized systems, chaos versus order.  This has been a big part of the economic problems most countries have been facing.  Civil rights, global technology, and international brotherhood are all aspects of this debate.  In the past, Uranus and Saturn were in zodiac signs that specialize in seeing how old ways no longer serve us.  Therefore, the focus globally was on how to tear down old systems.  We fought over which systems to tear down, how to tear them down, which should be saved, and who had a better grasp of what was actually wrong with the world.  This year, there will still be some of that, but there will also be a chunk of time when these opposing planets will be in zodiac signs that build, create new beginnings, and love fresh starts.  Therefore, we will find ourselves arguing over what the new beginning should look like.  2009 was about what to get rid of; 2010 is about what to replace it with.  In general, it is an easier battle and a lot less depressing.  For you personally, it was and will again be about battles between social obligations/the greater good and your own personal happiness (committee meetings versus spending time with your loved ones, Internet projects sucking up all of your free time, needy lovers versus spending tie with your friends, my happiness versus the group’s happiness, etc).  It will seem like no matter how hard you try to make everyone happy, either you are miserable or they are.  It is hard to be all things to all people.  Your schedule is too full for you to be fully present in most situations.  Also, there is a good chance that these problems are somehow tied to last year’s bureaucracy versus productivity, mental health versus physical health, and/or logic versus intuition challenges because at times Uranus and Saturn will be in and out of those areas of your life.  For example, work-related Internet activities, business networking, professional team-building, etc could be what is keeping you from feeling productive at work AND it is what is taking up all of your playtime and keeping you from enjoying your loved ones and leisure activities.  It is very easy to end up feeling burned out and grumpy as a result.  You need to be diligent about creating balance between these opposing forces.  Keep in mind that the real focus is on building something new, not on trying to salvage the old ways that no longer work.

 

From April 8th through July 20th, Saturn revisits Virgo.  As mentioned before, Saturn is tangled up in a battle with Uranus during this time, so his focus will mostly be on a “my happiness” versus “the greater good”, friends versus lovers, committee meetings versus playtime debate.

 

From May 4th through September 3rd, Jupiter opposes Saturn.  Jupiter is sneaking up behind Uranus and the two will soon be in a partnership as they both battle against Saturn.  Jupiter expands whatever he touches but he also tries to get people to see things from other people’s points of view.  Jupiter rules over global travel, multicultural studies, philosophies, religions, laws, universities, mass media, and “walking a mile in someone else’s shoes”.  Globally, we already have been dealing with younger generations wanting to take power from older generations.  We have seen battles between fundamentalists and rebels, between government and independence, between old-fashioned rules and futuristic visionaries, between old media (newspapers and television) and new media (the Internet), between stoic go-it-alone philosophies and brotherhood philosophies, etc.  Now, with Jupiter helping Uranus, the youthful, rebellious, brotherhood, social networking, and futuristic types are going to feel a huge boost of power in their favor.  Remember, this is a yin-yang placement of an almost identical astrological situation back in 1965 and 1966.  The Baby Boomers still see themselves as the youthful future-seekers, but a younger generation sees them as the old-fashioned ones dragging their feet and holding up progress.  Jupiter encourages a global, multicultural, academic, and judicious approach.  For you personally, Jupiter is helping with mental health, spiritual mysteries, intuition, bureaucracies, and red tape in the battle against Saturn in your daily work, productivity levels, logic, coworkers, and feeling like a useful member of society sector.  You could find that brainstorming sessions, technology, innovative ideas, exercise and fitness routines are especially helpful in combating depression, hopelessness, and feeling as if bureaucrats are screwing things up.  At times, the battle will be between your “social” and “happiness” sectors.  During those times, Jupiter will be siding with the friends, teams, clubs, committees, networking, connectivity, and social networking side of the battle.

 

From May 11th through January 31st 2011, Jupiter and Uranus are traveling partners.  As mentioned earlier, they are teamed up together battling Saturn as their partnership begins.  For now, they are in Pisces and your eleventh house of friends, teams, clubs, committees, professional associations, networking, connectivity, and socializing.  Uranus rules over this section of the zodiac and Jupiter rules over global and multicultural topics, so this is a wonderful time for meeting all kinds of new people and especially for Internet marketing and social networking.  During part of their time together, these two planets will make a preview visit into your twelfth house of mental health, attitudes, addictions, deception, intuition, spiritual mysteries, secrets, fogginess, bureaucracies, and “hidden forces working behind the scenes.”  (They will both take up residence in this new sector next year.)  From this new location, they will work to help you maneuver through these various hidden forces, bureaucracies, and spiritual mysteries.  They can help you recognize “reality” when things seem unclear and confusing.  They can also help you to recognize when you are sabotaging your dreams and when hidden agendas, deceptions, and/or gullibility might be holding you back.  They will also change their focus towards sudden flashes of inspiration, brilliant brainstorming, and an intuitive ability to work with groups of people into your life.  Corporate websites and working in big technology based companies could prove quite interesting and profitable at this time.  You could also find you are hit with a bit of an independent streak and might want to strike out on your own professionally or spiritually.  Allowing yourself this kind of freedom could be quite uplifting emotionally.  As summer ends, Uranus and Jupiter will each slip back over the borderline into Pisces and your social sector where they will remain for the rest of their time together.

 

From May 28th through August 13th, Uranus is in Aries and your twelfth house of mental health, attitudes, addictions, self-destruction, secrets, intuition, spiritual mysteries, charities, bureaucracies, and hidden forces working behind the scenes.  When other planets clash with Uranus, he will bring chaotic mood changes, stubbornness, and/or unexpected issues involving deception, delusion, bureaucracies, and “fogginess”.  Problems involving government agencies, hospitals, prisons, large corporations, and other institutions could seemingly pop up out of nowhere.  When other planets work nicely with Uranus or they just leave him alone to do his own thing, he will be working hard on your behalf to bring a friendly, funny, upbeat joy to your moods.

 

From June 6th through September 9th, Jupiter visits Aries and your twelfth house of mental health, attitudes, addictions, deception, intuition, spiritual mysteries, secrets, fogginess, bureaucracies, and “hidden forces working behind the scenes”.  Jupiter is trying to give you a preview of the wonderfully upbeat, adventurous, and lucky energy that he will bestow upon you next year, but Saturn’s opposition is making it a little difficult for you to take full advantage of this preview visit.

 

From June 17th through September 9th, Jupiter and Uranus will be angering Pluto.  They are already in an opposition with Saturn, now they are also clashing with Pluto.  Jupiter and Uranus are still in your mental health, spiritual mysteries, and bureaucracies sector.  Pluto is still in your travel, laws, academics, and cultures sector.  This is one of those “Clash of the Titans” events.  “Youthful rebellion” is butting heads with “trust and hidden truths.”  Globally, the desire for transformation and innovation clashes with “there is a right way and a wrong way to manage a revolution.”  The hard work and deep thought involved in successfully revolutionizing things is a rude awakening for idealistic groups wanting instant change.  “Yes we can” is all about enthusiasm and group cheerleading.  However, change does not come quick and it does not come easy.  That does not mean it is not coming, it just means that there is some difficult “grown up” stuff that has to be figured out and impatience does not help the cause.  For you personally, it is your spirituality, compassion, and intuition sector fighting with your laws, rules, and dogma sector.  This could be an internal battle regarding your beliefs or it can be an external battle between you and someone else.  This can also show up as government bureaucracy, legal battles, corporate politics, and/or problems with international institutions.

 

New Developments

 

July 1st and 2nd, Mercury and Mars are creating an alliance.  Mercury is in your interpersonal communications, commercial activities, and local community sector.  Mars is in your personal pleasure, romance, lovers, playtime, children, pets, hobbies, creative talents, luxury, and happiness sector.  This is a great time for spending quality time with local friends, neighbors, extended family, and other community members.  Play dates within your community are encouraged.  It is also a good time for romantic conversations, creative writing, writing song lyrics, and other ways of combining “words” and romance, fun, creativity, etc together in a pleasant manner.  Those of you that work in luxury sales or who is in the market to purchase luxury items (new car, big screen TV, vacation package, etc) could find that you are able to drive a hard bargain at this time.  Anything blending communications, commerce, and community with happiness, creativity, and loved ones is encouraged.

 

From July 6th through the 11th, Venus opposes Neptune the way Mars did last month.  Venus is in your real estate, housing matters, roommates, parents, childhood issues, safety and security, retirement circumstances, and “coming home” sector.  Neptune is still in your professional goals and aspirations, leadership, public reputation, civic duty, and climbing the Ladder of Success sector.  Once again, you have a tug-of-war between your public and private lives, career and home, promotions and retirement, mother and father, etc.  This time it is a little easier to mediate.

 

From July 6th through the 15th, the sun steps into the same place that Mercury was just in.  Now, it is the sun’s turn to work with Mars to help you blend your commerce, communications, and community sector and your romance, children, pets, creativity, luxury, and happiness together in a positive manner.  Once again, spending time with loved ones, making romantic commitments, buying and selling luxury items, attending local theater and music events, etc are all encouraged.

 

From July 8th through the 10th, Mercury is working to help ease the tensions between Saturn and Jupiter/Uranus.  Saturn is in your happiness sector.  Jupiter and Uranus are in your mental health and bureaucracies sector opposing Saturn and creating a big battle in which secrets, lies, addictions, self-destruction, mental health issues, bureaucracies, hospitalizations, or spiritual beliefs are clashing with your love life, parenting, hobbies, luxuries, and/or overall happiness.  Maybe you can have it all, but you are self-destructive in the process.  Maybe you find out that your children are lying to you about something or your lover disagrees with your spiritual beliefs, or your vacation plans are conflicting with bureaucratic red tape, etc.  Mercury is in a position to mediate and to help find solutions from within your commercial activities, local community, and interpersonal communications sector.  A sibling, aunt, uncle, cousin, neighbor, or someone else in your community could be part of the solution.  Negotiations, bartering, explaining, effectively and politely debating, putting your proposal in writing, using emails or telecommunications systems, bargain hunting online, etc could be part of the solution.  If you were planning to travel on vacation, maybe you decide to instead create a “staycation” that you and your loved ones still find enjoyable.

 

From July 10th through the 16th, Venus and Pluto are working very nicely together.  Venus has moved into your romance, playtime, and happiness sector.  Pluto is still in your long-distance travel, cultures, languages, laws, religions, politics, philosophies, academia, and mass media sector.  These are the two planets in charge of seduction and finances.  Together, they can help you fall in love, have fun, and inspire your creative muse through global, media, travel, academic, religious, and/or political activities.  You come across as smart, persuasive, and able to see the big picture.

 

July 11th hosts a new moon eclipse in your interpersonal communications, local community, and commercial activities sector.  This is an excellent time for new beginnings, launchings, fresh starts, commencements, and “births” involving written and verbal projects, sales, purchases, negotiations, contracts, agreements, computers, telecommunications, etc.  It is also a good time for new ways of traveling around town, finding new routes, new modes of transportation (bus, subway, taxi, etc), and for new cars and motorcycles.  You could also meet new neighbors and new relatives (through births or marriages).  The sun and Mars are still blending your community, communications, and commerce sector and your romance, creativity, luxury, and happiness sector, so you will most likely find this new beginning in your life to be quite enjoyable.  There is nothing negatively affecting this new beginning or fresh start, so things should turn out nicely.  Since it is an eclipse, you could find that it is quite profound even if it does not seem so at the time.  Later when you look back on things, you might realize that this is when it all began to change.

 

From July 19th through the 29th, the sun is moving into your real estate, housing matters, roommates, parents, childhood issues, safety and security, retirement planning, and “coming home” sector and is also working quite nicely with Jupiter and Uranus in your mental health, spiritual mysteries, secrets, intuition, and bureaucracies sector.  This is a great time for working on projects that bring more peace, harmony, spirituality, and a sense of safety and well-being into your private life.  If you work from home, this could be a good time for projects involving large bureaucratic organizations.  You are in a strong, upbeat, enthusiastic mood and you are channeling that into your home life.

 

From July 21st through the 24th, the sun is also working with Saturn who is slipping back into Libra and your daily work, coworkers, to-do lists, productivity, chores, physical fitness, and “feeling useful” sector.  This adds more professional success to your life.  Jupiter and Uranus are still opposing Saturn.  They create a tug-of-war involving bureaucracy versus productivity, logic versus intuition, mental health versus physical health, etc.  Now with the sun working nicely with both sides of the battle, you could find that you are able to brainstorm, mediate, and negotiate with both sides to begin creating solutions.

 

From July 24th through the 28th, Mercury and Neptune are creating another opposition in your life.  Mercury is in your home, mother, and private life sector where Venus and Mars used to be.  Neptune is still in your success and achievement, father, and public life sector.  Once again, you are dealing with some type of mother versus father, private life versus public life, or home versus career battle.  Mercury makes it more argumentative, but also gives you the ability to analyze the situation and see if you can come up with solutions.

 

July 25th hosts a full moon in your professional goals and aspirations, leadership, public reputation, and climbing the Ladder of Success sector.  Full moons are for endings, closure, grand finales, and “ta-da!” moments.  This is an excellent time for you to finish working on professional projects, marketing and advertising campaigns, and leadership roles.  It is also a great time to accomplish a professional goal, earn kudos, and to enjoy your moment in the spotlight.  Jupiter and Uranus are sending positive energy from within your mental health, spiritual mysteries, and bureaucracies sector.  This means that you are quite pleased with how things turned out and/or you are able to successfully maneuver through bureaucratic organizations in a way that helps you to achieve your goals.

 

From July 26th through September 14th, Saturn battles Pluto.  Jupiter and Uranus are already thumbing their noses at Pluto and they are still opposing Saturn.  The opposition involving productivity versus bureaucracy, logic versus intuition, and/or mental health versus physical health gets even uglier for a while, because of Pluto’s involvement.  Cultural, religious, political, or academic differences, business travel, language barriers, and/or travel-related issues are adding to the problems you are already dealing with.  To make matters even worse, Mars is teaming up with Saturn until August 8th and will be adding an extra dose of anger, aggression, and/or agitation to this drama.  Try to remember that everyone has this harsh energy somewhere in his or her chart and everyone is feeling stubborn, passionate, and volatile.  Emotions could get a bit raw.  Be very careful not to say or do anything you will regret later.  

 

From July 27th through August 1st, Mercury and Pluto are getting along wonderfully.  Mercury is entering your personal pleasure, romance, playtime, children, pets, hobbies, creative talents, luxuries, and happiness sector.  Pluto is still in your cultures, travel, politics, languages, laws, religions, mass media, universities, and global awareness sector.  Together, these two can help you explore, broaden your horizons, and enjoy learning about other cultures and beliefs.  You could fall in love, travel, embrace advanced education, etc.  You could also find political, religious, and cultural activities are quite entertaining at this time.

As many of you know, the forecasts over the last year and a half have reflected the negative aspects between various planets that have played a role in the economic, political, cultural, and societal challenges that we have been dealing with globally.  Some of you have written to us stating that you are tired of hearing all of the bad news and that you could really use something positive to focus your attention on, something to help you feel better as we go through this trying time.  Therefore, we have decided to create a new version of the horoscopes.

I have always felt that I should tell you when good things are coming so that you can position yourself to take advantage of as much of that goodness as you can.  And that I should also tell you the truth about the bad things coming so that you can brace yourself and plan accordingly.  I still believe in that philosophy even though we are going through challenging times at the moment.  Therefore, I will still write the original style of in-depth monthly forecasts, as well as the new “Hope ‘Scopes”.

From May 4th through September 3rd, Jupiter opposes Saturn.  Jupiter is sneaking up behind Uranus and the two will soon be in a partnership as they both battle against Saturn.  Jupiter expands whatever he touches but he also tries to get people to see things from other people’s points of view.  Jupiter rules over global travel, multicultural studies, philosophies, religions, laws, universities, mass media, and “walking a mile in someone else’s shoes”.  Globally, we already have been dealing with younger generations wanting to take power from older generations.  We have seen battles between fundamentalists and rebels, between government and independence, between old-fashioned rules and futuristic visionaries, between old media (newspapers and television) and new media (the Internet), between stoic go-it-alone philosophies and brotherhood philosophies, etc.  Now, with Jupiter helping Uranus, the youthful, rebellious, brotherhood, social networking, and futuristic types are going to feel a huge boost of power in their favor.  Remember, this is a yin-yang placement of an almost identical astrological situation back in 1965 and 1966.  The Baby Boomers still see themselves as the youthful future-seekers, but a younger generation sees them as the old-fashioned ones dragging their feet and holding up progress.  Jupiter encourages a global, multicultural, academic, and judicious approach.  For you personally, Jupiter is helping with mental health, spiritual mysteries, intuition, bureaucracies, and red tape in the battle against Saturn in your daily work, productivity levels, logic, coworkers, and feeling like a useful member of society sector.  You could find that brainstorming sessions, technology, innovative ideas, exercise and fitness routines are especially helpful in combating depression, hopelessness, and feeling as if bureaucrats are screwing things up.  At times, the battle will be between your “social” and “happiness” sectors.  During those times, Jupiter will be siding with the friends, teams, clubs, committees, networking, connectivity, and social networking side of the battle.

 

From May 11th through January 31st 2011, Jupiter and Uranus are traveling partners.  As mentioned earlier, they are teamed up together battling Saturn as their partnership begins.  For now, they are in Pisces and your eleventh house of friends, teams, clubs, committees, professional associations, networking, connectivity, and socializing.  Uranus rules over this section of the zodiac and Jupiter rules over global and multicultural topics, so this is a wonderful time for meeting all kinds of new people and especially for Internet marketing and social networking.  During part of their time together, these two planets will make a preview visit into your twelfth house of mental health, attitudes, addictions, deception, intuition, spiritual mysteries, secrets, fogginess, bureaucracies, and “hidden forces working behind the scenes.”  (They will both take up residence in this new sector next year.)  From this new location, they will work to help you maneuver through these various hidden forces, bureaucracies, and spiritual mysteries.  They can help you recognize “reality” when things seem unclear and confusing.  They can also help you to recognize when you are sabotaging your dreams and when hidden agendas, deceptions, and/or gullibility might be holding you back.  They will also change their focus towards sudden flashes of inspiration, brilliant brainstorming, and an intuitive ability to work with groups of people into your life.  Corporate websites and working in big technology based companies could prove quite interesting and profitable at this time.  You could also find you are hit with a bit of an independent streak and might want to strike out on your own professionally or spiritually.  Allowing yourself this kind of freedom could be quite uplifting emotionally.  As summer ends, Uranus and Jupiter will each slip back over the borderline into Pisces and your social sector where they will remain for the rest of their time together.

 

From May 28th through August 13th, Uranus is in Aries and your twelfth house of mental health, attitudes, addictions, self-destruction, secrets, intuition, spiritual mysteries, charities, bureaucracies, and hidden forces working behind the scenes.  When other planets clash with Uranus, he will bring chaotic mood changes, stubbornness, and/or unexpected issues involving deception, delusion, bureaucracies, and “fogginess”.  Problems involving government agencies, hospitals, prisons, large corporations, and other institutions could seemingly pop up out of nowhere.  When other planets work nicely with Uranus or they just leave him alone to do his own thing, he will be working hard on your behalf to bring a friendly, funny, upbeat joy to your moods.

 

From June 6th through September 9th, Jupiter visits Aries and your twelfth house of mental health, attitudes, addictions, deception, intuition, spiritual mysteries, secrets, fogginess, bureaucracies, and “hidden forces working behind the scenes”.  Jupiter is trying to give you a preview of the wonderfully upbeat, adventurous, and lucky energy that he will bestow upon you next year, but Saturn’s opposition is making it a little difficult for you to take full advantage of this preview visit.

 

From June 17th through September 9th, Jupiter and Uranus will be angering Pluto.  They are already in an opposition with Saturn, now they are also clashing with Pluto.  Jupiter and Uranus are still in your mental health, spiritual mysteries, and bureaucracies sector.  Pluto is still in your travel, laws, academics, and cultures sector.  This is one of those “Clash of the Titans” events.  “Youthful rebellion” is butting heads with “trust and hidden truths.”  Globally, the desire for transformation and innovation clashes with “there is a right way and a wrong way to manage a revolution.”  The hard work and deep thought involved in successfully revolutionizing things is a rude awakening for idealistic groups wanting instant change.  “Yes we can” is all about enthusiasm and group cheerleading.  However, change does not come quick and it does not come easy.  That does not mean it is not coming, it just means that there is some difficult “grown up” stuff that has to be figured out and impatience does not help the cause.  For you personally, it is your spirituality, compassion, and intuition sector fighting with your laws, rules, and dogma sector.  This could be an internal battle regarding your beliefs or it can be an external battle between you and someone else.  This can also show up as government bureaucracy, legal battles, corporate politics, and/or problems with international institutions.

 

From July 26th through September 14th, Saturn battles Pluto.  Jupiter and Uranus are already thumbing their noses at Pluto and they are still opposing Saturn.  The opposition involving productivity versus bureaucracy, logic versus intuition, and/or mental health versus physical health gets even uglier for a while, because of Pluto’s involvement.  Cultural, religious, political, or academic differences, business travel, language barriers, and/or travel-related issues are adding to the problems you are already dealing with.  To make matters even worse, Mars is teaming up with Saturn until August 8th and will be adding an extra dose of anger, aggression, and/or agitation to this drama.  Try to remember that everyone has this harsh energy somewhere in his or her chart and everyone is feeling stubborn, passionate, and volatile.  Emotions could get a bit raw.  Be very careful not to say or do anything you will regret later.  

 

New Developments

 

From August 3rd through the 12th, Venus joins Mars and Saturn in the big opposition against Jupiter and Uranus (with Pluto caught in the middle and being pulled at by both sides.)  Typically, Venus would try to add diplomacy, seduction, wealth, beauty, or justice to help solve a problem.  However, she is unable to help mediate the situation.  Six of the ten planets are now involved in this war.  Venus, Mars, and Saturn are representing your daily work, productivity, and physical health sector.  Jupiter and Uranus are representing your mental health, spirituality, and bureaucracy sector.  And Pluto is representing your travel, cultures, laws, politics, religions, academics, rules and dogma sector.  All three of these sectors are clashing with huge emotional, physical, and philosophical battles over bureaucracies, productivity, logic, spirituality, facts, laws, cultural biases, bigotry, academic requirements, etc.  This is the worst of it.  Mars and Venus will wander off together leaving the Titans to carry on the battle until mid-September.  As Saturn moves deeper into Libra and your “work” sector and Jupiter and Uranus move backwards into Pisces and your “social networking” sector, they will no longer be in alignment and then this battle will end.
