Taurus

October 2009

Synopsis:

Political, religious, academic, legal, philosophical, cultural, travel, and/or media-related drama is brewing at work.  It is basically the “know it alls” versus those who actually have to do the work.  Luckily, you have a lot of positive connections between your “success” and your “work” so you should be able to accomplish a great deal despite silly rules, regulations, and “gatekeepers” slowing you down.

Detailed version:

Old News

(Returning from the past)  From October 5th 2008 through March 12th 2009, Saturn and Uranus are in a major opposition.  They will take a break from this battle for a few months and then oppose each other again from August 22nd 2009 through October 9th 2009.  Globally, this is very similar to an opposition between these two planets back in 1965 and 1966.  Back in the mid-60’s, Saturn represented the older generation, conservative views, government, rules, regulations, chastity, prudence, and doing the right thing (like joining the military and supporting the Vietnam War as a sensible patriot).  Pluto was helping Uranus and together they represented the youthful rebellion of the time, “Age of Aquarius”, brotherhood, anarchy, individualistic personalities, independence, sexual freedom, chaos, and anti-war/anti-military sentiment.  It has taken a little over forty years, but these two planets have now traded places.  This is part of why we have a similar situation politically and culturally to what we had back then.  It is also why the concepts of a new generation wanting to take power from an older generation is also coming into play.  Culturally and politically, we will see this battle playing out.  Saturn is in Virgo representing banking systems, governments, and professional business protocol.  Uranus is in Pisces representing chaos, upheaval, and self-destruction.  Uranus also represents teamwork, social networking, and group dynamics, so we will see the Internet, “all for one and one for all”, and teamwork as the new solutions to many of our old problems.  This generational change cannot be stopped any more than the political and social changes that took place in the late 60’s could be stopped.  For better or worse, we must re-evaluate our political philosophies and attitudes about brotherhood.  Is the ideal philosophy “every man for himself” or “I am my brother’s keeper”?  The goal is for us to achieve balance, not for a pendulum to swing from one extreme to another.  For Taurus, this dynamic will show up in your social networking and personal pleasure sectors.  This time, it is a shorter and easier version of the reoccurring battle between your eleventh house of friends, teams, clubs, committees, professional associations, networking, connectivity, groups, social skills, and the Internet and your fifth house of personal pleasure, lovers, children, pets, hobbies, creative talents, and luxury.  Since Uranus is still involved, you could find unexpected events, chaotic drama, friends, the Internet, or a desire for independence is causing the uproar.  Uranus in the eleventh house is like a king in his own country and is seriously promoting social outings, independence, and freedom.  Saturn is insisting on romantic commitments, responsible choices, and long-term happiness.

From September 19th through October 11th, Mercury backtracks and officially rejoins Saturn in his battle with Uranus.  The sun is still there too, so it is a pretty tough battle.  The sun leaves September 20th and Saturn leaves October 9th, so even though it starts out bad, the energy begins easing up.  With Mercury being the last planet to participate in this opposition, he has the responsibility of trying to negotiate peace talks.  It will not be easy, but you might be able to find balance between your social obligations and personal happiness.  (Globally, the economic, political, and social battles that arise when Saturn and Uranus clash will ease up just in time for the holidays!)

From September 28th through October 9th, Mars gets in-between Mercury and Uranus’ battle and tries to help smooth things over.  Mercury is still representing lovers, children, pets, hobbies, creative projects, luxury items, your ability to be happy, and/or a happiness-oriented career.  Uranus is still representing friends, teams, clubs, committees, professional associations, the Internet, and connectivity.  Mars is in your communications, commercial activities, and local community sector, so you are trying to mediate, negotiation, find balance, compromise, and/or “fix” the issue.  You, a relative, neighbor, and/or someone else in your local community is playing the role of the peacemaker.  Sales proposals, contract negotiations, business correspondence, and other forms of professional communications could really boost your professional goals if you are working in a job you adore or are working in a “happiness” industry.

New Developments

October 3rd hosts a full moon in your mental health, attitudes, intuition, spiritual mysteries, secrets, bureaucracies, and “hidden forces working behind the scenes” sector.  Full moons are for endings, closure, grand finales, and “ta-da!” moments and there is nothing negatively affecting this one.  Therefore, this is a great time for putting the finishing touches on a big bureaucratic project you have been working on.  Projects involving charities, hospitals, government agencies, prisons, and large corporations will turn out better if you can complete them within a day or two of this full moon.  You could also find this to be a good time for letting go of old emotional baggage that has been holding you back and for ending self-defeating habits like smoking, gambling, etc.   Those of you working in mental health, spirituality, and addiction recovery industries could find this is a very positive time for accomplishing professional goals.

From October 6th through the 13th, the sun and Jupiter work quite nicely together to blend your daily work, to-do lists, chores, coworkers, productivity, and “feeling useful” sector with your professional goals and aspirations, leadership, public reputation, and Climbing the Ladder of Success sector.  This is a lovely time for working on your professional goals, earning the respect and admiration of your peers, and for taking on leadership roles within your industry.  You could also find this to be a good time for getting your boss, father figure, or an authority figure to see what a smart, hard working, and valuable worker you are.  This is the beginning of a repeating pattern.  The sun, Mercury, and Venus will all take turns creating this energy and then they will move on to make a similar connection with nearby Neptune.

From October 8th through the 12th, Venus takes her turn opposing Uranus.  Once again, a battle between your personal happiness and your social obligations is causing problems.  Since Venus is involved, it could be about romance or money this time.

From October 9th through the 12th, Mercury moves back into the spot he was in a few weeks ago when he battled Pluto in your long-distance travel, multicultural teachings, religion, politics, laws, philosophy, academia, and mass media sector.  Once again, business travel, long-distance communications, legal and political issues, foreigners, coworkers’ bigotry, ineffective business training courses, and/or international governments, and/or cultural differences are causing productivity issues for you and your coworkers.  It is also easier than normal to get sick while traveling.

From October 11th through March 9th, Saturn and Pluto clash.  This is that same battle that the sun and Mercury triggered.  This time, it is bigger, uglier, and far more important.  Saturn is moving into your daily work sector.  From this new location, he will be trying to teach you some life lessons about how you work, what kind of work you do, how organized and self-disciplined you are, and also how you treat your body and coworkers.  Pluto is trying to add personal power, enlightenment, profits, and sex appeal to cultural, political, religious, academic, and “global” activities.  With these two titans clashing, you could find your career is suffering from legal, academic, travel, political, and/or cultural issues.  Long-distance communications, international marketing, foreigners, business travel, and/or legal dramas can make it very difficult for you and your coworkers to accomplish much over the next few months.

From October 13th through the 17th, Venus joins Saturn in the battle with Pluto.  You could find that finances, fairness, a female, or an effeminate male adds to your problems.

From October 13th through the 20th, the sun and Neptune are working quite nicely together.  The sun is still in your work sector and Neptune is still in your success sector.  This is another opportunity for you to work on your professional goals and to earn the respect of your peers.

October 17th (or 18th depending on which time zone you are in at the time), you have a new moon in your work sector that is positively affected by the dynamic involving the sun and Neptune in the previous paragraph.  This is a lovely energy for hiring new employees, taking on new projects, accepting new jobs, and/or beginning a job search to find a new job that you love.  This is also a good time for launching new (doctor approved) fitness regimes.  There is nothing negatively affecting this new beginning in your work and health sector, so you should find it easier than normal to succeed.

From October 19th through the 22nd, Mercury and Jupiter are blending your work sector with your success sector.  This is another wave of that lovely energy promoting your professional goals and aspirations, leadership roles, and professional reputation.

From October 22nd through the 25th, the sun and Pluto are getting along quite nicely.  Pluto is still in your legal, political, religious, philosophical, academic, media, and travel sector and the sun is moving into your marriage, best friend, business partner, and competitor (think yin-yang) sector.  This is a great time for the two of you to travel together and to participate in cultural, political, religious, legal, and/or academic activities together.  Business partners could find this is a great time for global projects, for ironing out legal agreements, and for working with people in legal, political, religious, academic, travel, or media related industries.  Mercury, Venus, and eventually Mars (when he finally catches up with the others) will all pass through this same spot promoting the idea of you and a partner traveling together or working on media, legal, political, religious, or academic projects together.

From October 22nd through the 26th, Mercury switches from working with Jupiter to working with Neptune.  Mercury is still in your work sector and Neptune is still in your success sector.  This is another wonderful opportunity to work towards achieving your professional goals.

From October 24th through November 4th, the sun and Mars are clashing.  Mars is in your real estate, housing matters, roommates, parents, childhood issues, retirement circumstances, safety and security, and “coming home” sector.  The sun is still in your partners and competitors sector.  Your parents or roommates could be angry at your spouse, best friend, business partner, or competitor.  It is also possible that a spouse is ticked off about household chores, rude houseguests, or a landscaping, interior decorating, remodeling, and/or home-improvement project.  A best friend or business partner could be upset because they think you are spending too much time focused on your home life.  An enemy or competitor could be trying to sabotage your peaceful sanctuary.

From October 26th through the 31st, Venus takes her turn working with Jupiter to bring more professional success into your life.

From October 28th through the 29th, Mercury takes a quick turn working with Pluto to brainstorm creative ideas that help with academic, legal, political, religious, travel, and/or media projects that you and a spouse, best friend, or business partner are working on.  Mercury brings intelligence, contract negotiations, people skills, and enthusiasm to these areas of your life.

From October 29th through April 8th, Saturn leaves Virgo and your fifth house to enter Libra and your sixth house.  He will backtrack and revisit Virgo and your eleventh house from April 8th through July 20th.  After that, he will stay in Libra and your sixth house for the next couple of years.  For Taurus, hosting Saturn in your sixth house of daily work, to-do lists, productivity, physical health, and “feeling useful” can be quite stressful.  Taurus is a hardworking zodiac sign that takes their responsibilities seriously.  It can be hard on a Taurus to NOT be well organized, productive, healthy, and/or able to get along with coworkers.  You could find that Saturn challenges your health, making it difficult for you to do your fair share of the work.  You could find that a boss or authority figure constantly nags that your work and efforts are not good enough.  No matter how hard you work, they do not appreciate your hard work and sacrifice.  You could have trouble finding work, especially in this current economy, or you could be under-employed, or you are stuck in a job you hate because it is too risky to quit.  It can be difficult to find a better job than the one you have.  Remember that Saturn’s goal is to toughen you up, smarten you up, and prepare you for greatness.  So, buckle down, do your job as best you can, and take care of yourself physically.  When Saturn leaves this area of your life, your career and body should be in a stronger position than when you started.  Since Libra rules your sixth house, you could find that business partnerships are especially vulnerable to Saturn’s “teaching moments.”

From October 31st through November 5th, Venus begins working with Neptune.  Together, these two like to create romance, love, compassion, charities, and the fine arts.  They are dreamy, sexy, and into a spiritual mystical kind of romance.  Financially, they create a generous, intuitive, and/or philanthropic approach to wealth.  They are currently blending your work sector and your success sector.  This is more of that lovely energy promoting your professional goals and aspirations, leadership, professional reputation, and sense of achievement.  Those of you working in creative, artistic, charitable, and/or humanitarian industries could find this is an especially helpful energy for you to work with.

Synopsis:

A lover, best friend, business partner, or rival is upset about something in your private life and they are not shy about letting you know just how they feel.  Your career is demanding a lot of you and providing opportunities for financial and professional growth.  Unfortunately, your partner (or rival) is upset about this too.  It is no wonder that by the end of the month, you are struggling to find balance between your home life and your professional life.  Luckily, you get some help and it looks like you do just fine with the inevitable juggling act.

New Developments

November 2nd hosts a full moon in your “me” sector.  Full moons are for endings, closure, and grand finales.  This one is harshly affected by Mars in your real estate, housing matters, roommates, parents, childhood issues, retirement circumstances, and “coming home” sector.  Mercury is teaming up with the sun in your partnerships sector.  The battle between your “partner” and your “home” is a big part of this ending in your life.  You could find that you personally are somehow contributing to the problem and that you are ready to stop whatever it is that you are doing to sabotage your private life.  Maybe you are leaving the house in a mess and your partner is tired of cleaning up after you.  Maybe it is the other way around and your partner is tired of you constantly nagging at them to get more done around the house.  Whatever the issue is between the two of you, you are able to walk a mile in your partner’s shoes and realize that there are things you are doing that needs to stop.  The cause for the ending is negative and dramatic, but the long-term effect of you finding closure, completing a major task, and/or ending a negative personality trait will be in your best interest.  (Later this month, you and your partner will get to make a fresh start; so do not be too depressed over having to make some concessions now.)

From November 7th through the 10th, Venus takes her turn working with Pluto to bring cultural, academic, religious, political, mass media, and/or travel-related opportunities into your romantic, social, and business partnerships.  Pluto and Venus rule over all forms of seduction and wealth.  Together, they can help you and a business partner to create lucrative legal contracts, to work on international marketing campaigns, and/or to successfully work with people in the travel, religious, political, legal, cultural, academic, and/or mass media industries.  This is also an excellent time for meeting exotic new lovers or best friends.  And for you and an existing lover or best friend to enjoy cultural, religious, academic, political, philosophical, and/or media events together.  The two of you could also find vacationing and traveling together is quite enjoyable.  This is also a great time for winning legal battles, mediating financial contracts together, and/or for building trust with partners from backgrounds quite different from your own.  Anything combining your “global awareness” and “partnership” sectors together is going to be blessed with financial, seductive, and/or persuasive outcomes.

From November 7th through the 13th, the sun is in your partnerships sector and is clashing with Jupiter in your professional goals and aspirations, leadership, public reputation, and success sector.  Your lover, best friend, or business partner could be upset with your boss, the professional path you are on, your focus or lack of focus on your reputation, and/or the way you present your partnership to the rest of the world.  It is also possible that leadership roles, marketing and advertising campaigns, or your attempts climb the Ladder of Success are making it difficult for you to spend enough time and energy on your partnership.  Until the 9th, Mercury will be adding an argumentative energy to this problem.

From November 9th through the 13th, Mercury and Uranus are working quite nicely together.  These are the two planets in charge of genius, intellect, independence, and spontaneity.  They are combining your partnerships sector with your friends, teams, clubs, committees, professional associations, networking, connectivity, group activities, and Internet sector together in a smart, fun, and charming way.  This is an excellent time for...
