Pisces
July 2010
Synopsis:
You and a partner are still dealing with romantic or financial trust issues and your
social life is still adding to the challenges. However, you have a great deal of
positive energy coming from your happiness, playtime, creativity, and loved ones
sector. Some of it is tied nicely to your finances. You could turn a favorite hobby
or pastime into a revenue stream and have fun while beginning to resolve your finances.
You also begin to get some good news in your “work” sector that is also blending
nicely with your finances, so things will begin to get better.
Detailed version:
Old News
From March 25th through September 3rd, Saturn will be traveling backwards through
your chart to recreate that big ugly battle with Uranus that we all dealt with in
2008 and 2009. Saturn is still in your trust and sharing, fidelity and profit sharing
sector, but will be revisiting your partnerships and rivals (think yin-yang) sector
during part of this opposition. Uranus is in Pisces and your first house of “me”,
but will be visiting your second house of personal wealth and self-worth during part
of this opposition. Like before, globally we will see the world battling independence
versus government, brotherhood versus civic duty, rebellion versus organized systems,
chaos versus order. This has been a big part of the economic problems most countries
have been facing. Civil rights, global technology, and international brotherhood
are all aspects of this debate. In the past, Uranus and Saturn were in zodiac signs
that specialize in seeing how old ways no longer serve us. Therefore, the focus
globally was on how to tear down old systems. We fought over which systems to tear
down, how to tear them down, which should be saved, and who had a better grasp of
what was actually wrong with the world. This year, there will still be some of that,
but there will also be a chunk of time when these opposing planets will be in zodiac
signs that build, create new beginnings, and love fresh starts. Therefore, we will
find ourselves arguing over what the new beginning should look like. 2009 was about
what to get rid of; 2010 is about what to replace it with. In general, it is an
easier battle and a lot less depressing. For you personally, it was and will again
be about battles between you and a spouse, best friend, business partner, rival,
competitor, or enemy. At times, finances, sexuality, trust, and greed will play
a part in the opposition. Keep in mind that the real focus is on building something
new, not on trying to salvage the old ways that no longer work. You cannot recapture
whatever has been lost, you can only agree to rebuild something new together or you
can agree to go your separate ways and you find someone new to rebuild a new partnership
with. If it is a competitor or rival that you are battling instead of a beloved
partner, then remember that the planets are encouraging the person who can come up
with new ideas, new ways of increasing profits, new ways of building trusting relationships,
new ways of marketing and networking, etc to “win” this battle. If you are on the
side of trying to hold on to the old ways of doing things, you will lose to the innovative
competitor. It does not matter if the old ways worked beautifully and it does not
matter if you are extremely good at doing things the old way; history is on the side
of change, innovation, and moving forward towards a new dawn. You have to adapt
and grow or you will be left behind. It might be challenging for you, but remember
that Saturn helps you to be careful, smart, and professional in your partnership-related
choices, so you are not likely to make radical irresponsible choices while moving
forward in a brave new direction.
From April 8th through July 20th, Saturn revisits Virgo. As mentioned before, Saturn
is tangled up in a battle with Uranus during this time, so his focus will mostly
be on the battle between you and a lover, best friend, business partner, competitor,
rival, or enemy (think yin-yang).
From May 4th through September 3rd, Jupiter opposes Saturn. Jupiter is sneaking
up behind Uranus and the two will soon be in a partnership as they both battle against
Saturn. Jupiter expands whatever he touches but he also tries to get people to see
things from other people’s points of view. Jupiter rules over global travel, multicultural
studies, philosophies, religions, laws, universities, mass media, and “walking a
mile in someone else’s shoes”. Globally, we already have been dealing with younger
generations wanting to take power from older generations. We have seen battles between
fundamentalists and rebels, between government and independence, between old-fashioned
rules and futuristic visionaries, between old media (newspapers and television) and
new media (the Internet), between stoic go-it-alone philosophies and brotherhood
philosophies, etc. Now, with Jupiter helping Uranus, the youthful, rebellious, brotherhood,
social networking, and futuristic types are going to feel a huge boost of power in
their favor. Remember, this is a yin-yang placement of an almost identical astrological
situation back in 1965 and 1966. The Baby Boomers still see themselves as the youthful
future-seekers, but a younger generation sees them as the old-fashioned ones dragging
their feet and holding up progress. Jupiter encourages a global, multicultural,
academic, and judicious approach. For you personally, Jupiter is helping with the
“me” and “mine” side in the battle against Saturn in your “partnerships/rivalries”
and “sharing” sectors. Jupiter and Uranus are both helping you to win in the battles
between you and a partner or competitor. They are also helping you to earn more
salaries, wages, and other more reliable incomes rather than depending on tips, commissions,
royalties, investments and other profit sharing based revenue streams. Jupiter also
helps you to focus a bit more on your own personal needs rather than allowing partners
to boss you around too much.
From May 11th through January 31st 2011, Jupiter and Uranus are traveling partners.
As mentioned earlier, they are teamed up together battling Saturn as their partnership
begins. They are currently in Pisces and your first house of “me”. They are working
hard to promote Piscean topics and to bring more brotherhood, genius, teamwork, friendships,
and social networking into all areas of your life. It is an optimistic, youthful,
and sometimes rebellious energy that all Pisces can use for your personal needs and
desires.
From May 28th through August 13th, Uranus is visiting Aries and your second house
of personal wealth, assets, and self-worth. In general, Uranus brings rebellion,
stubbornness, chaos, and eccentricity, but he also brings teamwork, friendships,
independence, charm, genius, brotherhood, and technology into your personal finances.
With Uranus in Aries, you could see more of an independence streak, entrepreneurial
ideas, innovation, and enthusiasm. He is fired up and ready to go after feeling
bogged down by Pisces’ secrets, emotional issues, and bureaucracy. Internet commerce
could work amazingly well for you during this time. Jupiter will soon be adding
good luck, prosperity, and abundance to Uranus’ efforts to increase your net worth
and improve your self-worth. They are both still opposing Saturn, but they are focused
on helping you financially and they are giving you a preview of next year when Uranus
moves into Aries and your personal wealth sector for a nice long visit. Next year,
Saturn will not be opposing their efforts, so things will go quite well for you.
From June 6th through September 9th, Jupiter visits Aries and your second house of
personal wealth, assets, and self-worth. Jupiter is trying to give you a preview
of the wonderfully upbeat, adventurous, and lucky energy that he will bestow upon
you next year, but Saturn’s opposition is making it a little difficult for you to
take full advantage of this preview visit.
From June 17th through September 9th, Jupiter and Uranus will be angering Pluto.
They are already in an opposition with Saturn, now they are also clashing with Pluto.
Jupiter and Uranus are still in your personal wealth, assets, salaries, wages, and
self-worth sector. Pluto is still in your friends, teams, clubs, committees, professional
associations, group activities, connectivity, networking, and the Internet sector.
This is one of those “Clash of the Titans” events. “Youthful rebellion” is butting
heads with “trust and hidden truths.” Globally, the desire for transformation and
innovation clashes with “there is a right way and a wrong way to manage a revolution.”
The hard work and deep thought involved in successfully revolutionizing things is
a rude awakening for idealistic groups wanting instant change. “Yes we can” is all
about enthusiasm and group cheerleading. However, change does not come quick and
it does not come easy. That does not mean it is not coming, it just means that there
is some difficult “grown up” stuff that has to be figured out and impatience does
not help the cause. For you personally, your social life and your finances are clashing.
It could be that you are having a hard time coming up with the money to hang out
with friends on various social outings this summer. It could be that a group of
friends is planning an expense vacation together and you cannot afford to go with
them. Or maybe a friend or colleague borrows money from you and then does not pay
you back as agreed or you are the one who owes them money. It is also possible that
a committee, association, or Internet company is not paying you for your services
as agreed and it is costing you a lot financially or they are charging you too much
money for membership fees, web hosting, etc. Whatever it is, this is not a good
time for financial transactions involving your friends, teammates, colleagues, associates,
and/or the Internet. Be especially careful when conducting financial transactions
online.
New Developments
From July 1st through 2nd, Mercury and Mars are getting along quite nicely. Mercury
is in your personal pleasure, lovers, romance, playtime, children, pets, hobbies,
creative talents, luxuries, and happiness sector and Mars is still in your marriage,
best friends, business partnerships, enemies, competitors, and rivals (think yin-yang)
sector. Together, they help you and your partner enjoy some quality time together,
they help create romance for married couples, playtime for best friends, and business
opportunities in “happiness” industries (music, theater, luxury sales, sports, hobbies,
daycare, etc) for business partners.
From July 6th through the 11th, Venus opposes Neptune the way Mars did last month.
Venus is in your daily work, coworkers, chores, to-do lists, and productivity sector.
Neptune is still in your mental health, intuition, spiritual mysteries, hidden agendas,
and bureaucracies sector. Once again, you have a tug-of-war between mental health
and physical health, intuition and logic, productivity levels and bureaucratic rules,
etc. This time it is a little easier to mediate.
From July 6th through the 15th, the sun steps into the same place that Mercury was
just in. Now, it is the sun’s turn to work with Mars to help you and a partner with
romance, playtime, pets, children, luxury items, and/or “happiness” oriented careers.
From July 8th through the 10th, Mercury is working to help ease the tensions between
your finances and your partner or competitor. Saturn is in your partnerships and
rivalries sector. Jupiter and Uranus are in your personal wealth and self-worth
sector opposing Saturn and creating an issue involving your finances or your self-confidence.
Maybe your partner is giving you a hard time because they think you do not earn
enough money or they are upset because you are creating stress for them by not earning
more. It is also possible that a competitor or rival is winning a professional battle
and it is causing you to not get a pay raise that you really need. It is also possible
that a partner or competitor is convincing you that you are not good enough. They
could be having a very harsh impact on your self-esteem. Mercury is in a position
to mediate and to help offer solutions from within your happiness sector. You could
realize that your happiness matters and therefore you are better able to stand up
to the partner or competitor that is being so confrontational. You could also point
out that you offer something to the relationship that money cannot buy (fun, romance,
creativity, joy, a sense of humor, etc.) You can improve their quality of life even
if you are not contributing as much money to the relationship as your partner might
like. And if you are working in a happiness industry alongside a business partner,
the two of you could come up with some great money making ideas together.
From July 10th through the 16th, Venus and Pluto are working very nicely together.
Venus has moved into your partnerships sector. Pluto is still in your friends,
teams, clubs, committees, professional associations, networking, and the Internet
sector. These are the two planets in charge of seduction and finances. Together,
they can help you and a partner to social and networking with various groups of people.
Those of you that are single and looking for a new romantic, social, or business
partner could ask friends and colleagues to introduce you to interesting new people.
The Internet can be a helpful tool when looking for like-minded people to partner
with. You and a business partner could find that profits soar when you focus on
teams, clubs, committees, and/or Internet activities.
July 11th hosts a new moon eclipse in your personal pleasure and happiness sector.
This is an excellent time for new lovers, hobbies, creative projects, luxury items,
or children and pets (adoptions and births). It is also a good time for launching
new careers in “happiness” industries (music, theater, luxury sales, or anything
else that brings joy into your customers’ lives.) The sun and Mars are still blending
your happiness sector and your partnerships sector, so you could find that a spouse,
best friend, or business partner plays a positive role in this new beginning in your
life. If you have always dreamed of turning a favorite pastime or hobby into a career,
this is the time to do so. Since this is an eclipse, you could find that the new
beginning or fresh start you create in this area of your life could have wonderful
long-term consequences. Sometimes with eclipses, it is not immediately obvious that
this is a profound life changing moment. However, looking back at a later time,
you can see that this was when things began to change.
From July 19th through the 29th, the sun in your personal pleasure, lovers, romance,
playtime, children, pets, hobbies, creative projects, luxury items, and happiness
sector is working quite nicely with Jupiter and Uranus in your personal wealth, salaries,
wages, assets, bank accounts, and self-worth sector. This is a great time for financing
luxury items, vacations, playtime activities, hobbies, etc. It is also a good time
for earning more self-confidence through a hobby or pastime (like being able to run
a marathon, learning to play a musical instrument, etc). And those of you that work
in “happiness” industries could find that this is a great time for boosting sales
and increasing your take-home pay.
From July 21st through the 24th, the sun is also working with Saturn who is slipping
back into Libra and your eighth house of trust and sharing, intimacy, fidelity, loyalty,
joint assets, joint ventures, investments, stocks, commissions, bonus checks, royalties,
tips/gratuities, alimony and child support, inheritances, loans, taxes, and other
forms of profit sharing. Jupiter and Uranus are still opposing Saturn. They create
a tug-of-war involving “mine” versus “ours”, salaries versus commissions, self-respect
versus infidelity/trust issues, personal security versus sharing with others, etc.
The sun is moving into your daily work, coworkers, chores, to-do lists, productivity
levels, physical health, and “feeling useful” sector. From this new location, the
sun can help you to roll up your sleeves and get to work fixing your financial problems.
This is a great time to work towards your professional and financial goals.
From July 24th through the 28th, Mercury and Neptune are creating another opposition
in your life. Mercury is in your daily work, coworkers, chores, to-do lists, productivity
levels, physical health, and “feeling useful” sector where Venus and Mars used to
be. Neptune is still in your mental health, intuition, spiritual mysteries, secrets,
bureaucracies, and “hidden forces working behind the scenes” sector. Once again,
you are dealing with mental health versus physical health, intuition versus logic,
bureaucracy versus productivity, spirituality versus practicality, etc.
July 25th hosts a full moon in your mental health, intuition, spiritual mysteries,
secrets, bureaucracies, and “hidden forces working behind the scenes” sector. Full
moons are for endings, closure, grand finales, and “ta-da!” moments. This is an
excellent time for you to finish working on projects involving corporations, government
agencies, hospitals, prisons, institutions, charities, and other bureaucracies. It
is also a good time for “letting go” of old attitudes, belief systems, self-destructive
behaviors, or emotional issues that have been holding you back. If you are ready
to stop smoking, let go of an addiction, stop gambling, stop gambling, etc, this
is a great time to do so. Jupiter and Uranus are sending positive energy from within
your personal wealth and self-worth sector. Therefore, completed projects involving
bureaucratic organizations could show a nice profit and/or the psychological “letting
go” process could really boost your sense of self-respect and self-confidence.
From July 26th through September 14th, Saturn battles Pluto. Jupiter and Uranus
are already thumbing their noses at Pluto and they are still opposing Saturn. The
opposition between “mine” and “ours”, between salaries and commissions, between self-respect
and infidelity/trust issues gets even uglier for a while, because of Pluto’s involvement.
You were already dealing with financial issues involving your friends, teams, clubs,
committees, professional associations, or the Internet. They owe you or you owe
them and both sides are agitated. Or you just cannot afford to socialize as much
as you like. Now with Saturn also challenging Pluto, your investments, commissions,
profit sharing, and fidelity (trust and sharing) sector is clashing with your social
networking sector. Your financial situation and your social activities are not in
alignment. You and your partner need to be especially careful when conducting financial
transactions online, when loaning money to a friend or colleague, or when negotiating
financial agreements with various teams, clubs, committees, etc. To make matters
even worse, Mars is teaming up with Saturn until August 8th and will be adding an
extra dose of anger, aggression, and/or agitation to your role in this drama. Be
very careful not to say or do anything you will regret later.
From July 27th through August 1st, Mercury and Pluto are getting along wonderfully.
Mercury is entering your marriage, best friends, business partnerships, rivals,
enemies, and competitors (think yin-yang) sector. Pluto is still in your social
networking sector. Pluto likes to dig up hidden truths, trust issues, and hidden
resources. Mercury likes to share information, analyze, and negotiate. Together,
these two can help you and your partner create lucrative business deals involving
the Internet, teams, clubs, committees, and associations. Those of you that are
single and looking for a romantic, social, or business partner should ask friends
and colleagues to introduce you to interesting new people. You could also convince
an enemy, rival, or competitor to create an alliance and become friends or part of
the same team. It is also a good time for romantic couples to enjoy double-dating
with friends.

My Approach to Forecasting
Hope ‘Scopes
As many of you know, the forecasts over the last year and a half have reflected the
negative aspects between various planets that have played a role in the economic,
political, cultural, and societal challenges that we have been dealing with globally.
Some of you have written to us stating that you are tired of hearing all of the
bad news and that you could really use something positive to focus your attention
on, something to help you feel better as we go through this trying time. Therefore,
we have decided to create a new version of the horoscopes.
“Hope ‘Scopes”
I have always felt that I should tell you when good things are coming so that you
can position yourself to take advantage of as much of that goodness as you can. And
that I should also tell you the truth about the bad things coming so that you can
brace yourself and plan accordingly. I still believe in that philosophy even though
we are going through challenging times at the moment. Therefore, I will still write
the original style of in-depth monthly forecasts, as well as the new “Hope ‘Scopes”.
This URL will still be the home of the old style of forecasts...

This is one of those “Clash of the Titans” events. “Youthful rebellion” is butting

From July 26th through September 14th, Saturn battles Pluto. Jupiter and Uranus

and infidelity/trust issues gets even uglier for a while, because of Pluto’s involvement.

financial agreements with various teams, clubs, committees, etc. To make matters
even worse, Mars is teaming up with Saturn until August 8th and will be adding an
extra dose of anger, aggression, and/or agitation to your role in this drama. Be
very careful not to say or do anything you will regret later.
New Developments
From August 3rd through the 12th, Venus joins Mars and Saturn in the big opposition
against Jupiter and Uranus (with Pluto caught in the middle and being pulled at by
both sides.) Typically, Venus would try to add diplomacy, seduction, wealth, beauty,
or justice to help solve a problem. However, she is unable to help mediate the situation.
Six of the ten planets are now involved in this war. Venus, Mars, and Saturn are
representing your spouse’s income and your trust and sharing, fidelity, loyalty,
joint finances, joint ventures, investments, commissions, royalties, inheritances,
spousal and child support, taxes, loans, insurances, and other forms of profit sharing.
Jupiter and Uranus are representing your personal wealth, salaries, wages, assets,
net worth, and/or self-worth. And Pluto is representing your friends, teams, clubs,
committees, professional associations, networking, group activities, connectivity,
and the Internet. Your social life, Internet activities, teams, or networking activities
are clashing with your finances. This is not a good time to conduct business online,
be especially careful of Internet-based scams that could really wreck havoc on your
finances. You could also find that romantic or financial trust issues are centered
on your social life (like a “friend” is trying to seduce your lover away from you
or a committee is not paying you for services as agreed). Or you could find that
you and your spouse are both too strapped for cash to be able to join friends on
a fun group vacation or some other social outing. This is the worst of it. Mars
and Venus will wander off together leaving the Titans to carry on the battle until
mid-September. As Saturn moves deeper into Libra and your romantic and financial
trust and sharing sector and Jupiter and Uranus move back into Pisces and your “me”
